NUMBER OF YEARS COACHING:
24
HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU LIKE TO HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON?
In my pre-kid days Usually about 3...more if I ccould get away with it. Now? Who needs an alarm? I have Caden to wake me up!
MY PETS:
My 2 kitties Sambuka and Bailey are no longer with us....but I still think about them at least once a day...and I plan on getting at least one new cat sometime soon! I’m too lazy to have the extra responsiblity of a dog. :)
YOUR MOST OVERUSED WORD/PHRASE:
“Seriously” (with sarcastic over tones!)
THE LAST PERSON TO MAKE YOU LAUGH?
My son, Caden!
YOUR FAVORITE CURRENT OBSESSION?
Besides my family? Troyettes...what else would it be?
But I’m also focused on re-estalishing some order and peace to my spiritual and emotional life.
WHAT REALLY ANNOYS YOU?
This list seems to get longer the older I get...but I really don’t like “half-way” commitment or People who try to convince others that they’re not “super into something”, because that wouldn’t be “cool”. I’m an “all or nothing” kind of person and I love PASSIONATE people who aren’t afraid to show and tell everyone what they’re passionate about! Passion for a person, a cause, a belief, or a TEAM :) radiates confidence and I think its an amazing and powerful thing to possess and to give away!
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THE FUTURE?
If I turned out to be a good mother who was able to raise happy and successful kids!
WORST BAD HABIT:
Procrastination on things that make me feel anxious or stressed out.
THE LAST MOVIE YOU SAW:
Whatever the latest “James Bond” movie was...but my husband picked it...and I fell asleep so I’m not sure if that counts.
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU EVER GOT:
Prioritize and delegate....try to live out the serenity prayer...God first, family 2nd, and everything else will fall into place...The Golden rule!
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE TO CURRENT/FUTURE TROYETTES:
120% always and in all ways...It’s all about what you give not what you get...The irony is that you GET so much when you focus on giving!
THE SONG YOU WOULD REQUEST TO SING FOR KARAOKE:
Well if I sang karaoke, everybody would vacate the premises...but I guess maybe some 80’s song from my high school days.
ARE YOU A MORNING OR NIGHT PERSON:
I’m more productive at night...but I love the quiet and peace of an early morning before all the activity of the day sets in!
ONE THING YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO DAILY THAT YOU DON'T.
Take my vitamins and shave my legs!
YOUR MOST MEMORABLE TROYETTE EXPERIENCE
OR YOUR MOST EMBARRASING TROYETTE MOMENT:
My memorable moments are too many to count and to tell you the truth so are my embarrasing ones. Every year is special and unique and I try to live in the moment of each day, of each year!
WHEN MY TROYETTE CAREER IS OVER, I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED FOR:
Being a coach who is as concerned with the character of her team as the number of wins. And to have taken the time and effort to know each girl on some personal level!
FAVORITE QUOTE:
This is an impossible question for somebody who is quote obsessed, but I do like,
“Its not the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away.”
3 ADJECTIVES THAT DESCRIBE ME:
dedicated, passionate, loyal
10 THINGS THAT YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT ME:
1. I’ve lived in Kansas, Texas, Ohio, Louisiana, and of course, Wisconsin.
2) I danced for the University of Wi, Madison for 3 years, and I was on a dance team since the 8th grade.
3) It took me 5 1/2 years to graduate from college.
4) I’m not handling all the things that go with “getting older” very well...Botox and liposuction could be in my near future :) J/K
5) I hate being pregnant but love the end result! This vanity issue helped me delay pregnancy for 12 years into my marriage.
6) If I could go back to school for a different degree than elementary ed, I would focus on interior design.
7) I’m secretly an organized person trapped in a disorganized body. Nothing makes me feel more calm and peaceful than a clean house, an organized dance team, and nothing super pressing on my “to do” list...Unfortunately this never happens, at least not at the same time!
8) It is difficult for me to go a day without talking to my mom.
9) One of my very favorite past times is shopping. This is not a good thing...especially with the invention of on-line shopping!
10) I met my husband in high school, but we didn’t date until college!
