We used to worry if our socks were folded over to the same length at competition. 3. We wore white gloves and ponytails- with our own, real hair. 4. We wore a uniform more than one season. 5. We went to competition parties at Shawna's house in DePere. 7. The awards ceremony at Nationals was at Epcot after marching in a parade. 8. The entire school, much less NE Wisconsin, was SHOCKED by our red uniforms. 9. We cut the bottom of our wind pants so that they weren't tapered and wore them with letter jackets. 10. We wore high top "moon boots" 11. We used to dance at Football games at West High School until the new stadium was built at Southwest. 12. We practiced in blue shorts and volleyball kneepads. 13. Shawna still worked as a substitute teacher. 14. Our biggest focus in pom competition was Arrowhead and Wasau West. 15. The "guy's dance" and Nationals show-off was still a shocking surprise. 16. We could feasibly fit in the boiler room for practice. 17. We knew what and where the boiler room was. 18. We performed on woodchips at state Fair and faced 2 directions. 19.
